ah oh, upper rear control arm bolt popped out? or something broke... look
I thought my drivers side rear shock had blown a few days ago, since I have GR2's. Have heard creaking sounds back there and felt slight wobbling at low speeds (thought it was just the roads I've been on). Well, today I go to get in my car at work and notice the back was thrown out ALOT. Go to leave and had all kinds of noises pulling out the parking spot but, stopped as I got going. Well, when I got home, jacked up the car, because something looked broken, definitely not normal... here is what I found...
Just making sure what happened and what I need to get fixed. What's crazy is I take the interstate every morning and afternoon, to and back, from work. Nothing else looks damaged or bent. Scary stuff.
REALLY bad timing also. I just ordered my Falken Ziex 512's today, and my rims arrive tomorrow, was all ready to have aligned, mounted and balanced Saturday morning
Is it even safe to drive to a garage like that? Thanks for any help

i wouldn't feel safe driving it. Its a good thing that you didnt get your car aligned before this happened, as you'd need to go again. Get the part and fix it before going to get your car aligned, or anywhere for that matter.

So just buy the bolt, put it back in, and good to go? If I bought a rear camber kit would that bolt be included by any chance? Still don't know why this even happened :[

looks like your bolt broke in 2 places..
I imagine it was a defective bolt
You're gonna have to find a way to get it out and then get a new bolt
I'd put a stronger bolt in there this time
edit: now that I look closer: is there even a bolt in there or did it fall off?

make sure the threads are not damaged or flattened out.the bolt should be about 2.5 inches long. 10mm x1.25 thread. I have one right here next to me

get the bolt from the dealership and put some blue loctite on it. Shouldn't come out again.

Looks like someone didnt torque it right and it fell off, good thing u caught it before it did some major damage. Just get a new bolt and hopefully that will take care of it.

put a bolt in the thing......
just take the one out the other side and get one from your local parts store.
or ask a friend with tons of bolts.....cause he keeps stealing them from junk cars...not that i know someone like that....
why are bolts so expensive?

No luck finding this bolt anywhere, and Honda wouldn't have it to me for atleast a week. So looks like I'm taking a trip to the hardware stores tommarow, info gathered:
10x68mm
or 2.5" long
x1.25 thread
and I guess whatever locking nut I can find that fits the bolt?
Thanks HT
Oh, and I was sent 5x114 rims instead of 4x100, so it looks like everything isn't going as planed anyhow.
Oh well, it'll all come in time I guess, I'll be patient. This is definitely testing me right now. Also got in an accident tonight in my brothers Integra. He was driving the speed limit around a small bend in the road and we hydroplaned (roads were wet) and hit the back of a Dodge pickup. Looks totaled. I just hate it when bad luck hits all at once.
