Aftermarket Clutch in 92 Civic?
hello everyone, i got a d16z6, and i have been wanting to know if i so happen to put in a stage one clutch with a 8lbs fly wheel how much power and tq can i expect to gain? And should i get a adjustable cam gear too? Or is the cam gear just a fake? Also can i expected anything form cam gear?

Re: Aftermarket Clutch in 92 Civic?
Not all stage 1 clutches are the same, it really depends which one you get. You don't gain any power by adding a clutch and flywheel, you get improved power delivery. The power you already have will be available faster.
An 8lb flywheel for daily use is a little on the light side... You can run into stalling issues and have trouble shifting quick enough to stay in the fat part of the powerband. I recommend the ACT street-lite flywheel, it is a nice compromise between street and race... I don't however recommend ACT clutches unless you are looking for serious holding power, they are a bear in a daily driven car...
With the adjustable cam gear you can adjust the cam timing so that the engine cycles differently. So you could gain a little low end torque or a little top end hp... On a single cam motor the adjustments are minor and should only be adjusted by someone who knows what they are doing... I would refrain unless you purchase some cams...
