aem v2 (strange sound)

Default aem v2 (strange sound)

i put my aem v2 last night and it makes a funny sound that kinda sounds like my tire is rubing on somthing.does anyone els hear that with there aem v2?

No. I hear a whistling/sucking sound at higher rpms..

Maybe its a coincidence? Check to make sure your wheel well covers (splash guards) arent falling out or something. Also make sure theres nothing obstructing the filter (plastic, leaves, wrappers?) look to make sure theres nothing left inside the induction tube itself.

It shouldn't hit against anything if installed properly.

Could be , id think you would know that right away. the V2 should have a mounting brack that holds it up by the strut tower, that would keep it from touching/rattling against things.

YEA..he;s right i bought a'00 si with I/H/E. It has a AEM short ram intake and it wistles when you give more than 25% throttle. You sure the tire noise isn't from ur tires dude?

its instaled right,but i have a b16 so maybe it sits a little diferent then it would with the stock moter.idk.

i put a piece of ruber where it was hitting between the intake and the bracket and now it sounds a lot better.now it just pulsates

Sounds like you solved your own problem

Btw, are you sure you bought the correct intake, for example, not a GSR intake, because the manifolds TB position is different between some B series.
