AEM V2 Cold Air Induction System
Anyone using AEM V2 Cold Air Induction System? If yes, any good results out of it? I am planning to install one. ***** and Cons will be greatly appreciated. (First time user of honda-tech site)

i have it. what he said, it's a waste of money. the replacement tranny mount bracket / bolts they give you suck!! it's quite a stupid design that it requires you to replace that with the shitty one they supply. it sounds nice though, but who cares. gains were minimal, probably just slightly more than the regular aem cai.

Re: AEM V2 Cold Air Induction System (PANDEM)
I would go with the original cold air from AEM, or the factory with the K&N drop in filter. That will eliminate almost all concerns for hydrolocking the motor.

Re: AEM V2 Cold Air Induction System (B_Something)
the gains of a cai IMHO are not worth the risk of Hydro locking an engine. BUT if a cai is what you want, I'd look for some cheap *** e-bay intake. key points to look for.
1)mandrel bent
2)wether it's 1 piece or 2 (2 piece can simply be modified to become a short ram in times of wet weather ) one piece cannot and would have to be cut (which is what i ended up doing)
3)don't bother with th bypass valve unless you plan on submerging the front of your car in water (meaning the whole filter being placed under water) the bypass valve will do nothing unless the whole filter is submerged
performance gains will be the same across the board for most cheap intakes. Look at ARC/Comptech ice box/j's racing for intakes that actually do have good performance gains...
