AEM Hybrid intake system problems.
So I have a B18c1 w/ an integra type-r intake manifold in my eg, and I got sick of the universal intake crap so I got an AEM Hybrid intake system. I've been having some problems getting it to fit right, and I started thinking maybe I got the wrong one for my set-up. It's the 92-95 civic b18c1 hybrid intake system, and there is also a system for 92-95 civic b16a/"b18c5" or and b block w/ a b16a or b18c5 head. I'm wondering now if the reason for the difference being in the head is totally correct, because b16a's and b18c5's come with a single port intake manifold where the b18c1 has a dual port intake manifold, like the prelude h22a. and they are very differently shaped. Does anyone know if thats why mine is scraping my mounts and stuff.

I agree. The b18c1 manifold curves down, whereas the type r one is the opposite, so the position of the throttle is different. I think u would have been in a better postion even if u got one for an SOHC EX.

ARRG! This sucks, I spent like $200+, and I called AEM to get just the right thing and they said it was all in the head, but you don't have to use stock manifolds, so i figured they knew what they were talking about, i even told them about my set-up.
