Default AEM bypass valve? (good or no good?)

i have a cai and i ended up takin it out and puttin a ram intake on cause i was afraid of hydro lock. do these valves work at all? cause i want to go back to my cai. thanks

life savors.
but also taking the cai out for the crapy months and then runing it when its nice out is good to.
