cuz its easier to tune, and if u have an obd1 car and ob2 engine u can use your ecu and u wont run into any problems with the sensor bs

your motor is obd2, your car is obd2 and the p72 ecus can be either obd1 or obd2 depending what yr it came from. if its obd1 it will work if u have the harness

obd-2 computers are basically un-tunable. you can do some stuff with them, but you get the most user-friendly, easy tuning out of obd-1. you can also write out stuff you wouldn't want, like the 2nd o2 sensor, knock sensor, etc. having a tunable setup is going to be your best bet if you're looking to get all the power you can out of your swap.

Re: (maka)
P72 came off the GSR, and 1994-1995 GSR's have the OBD1 ECU, 1996 and up have the OBD2... if you're running rich, it's better than lean... but either way, get your car tuned! Use a VAFC or if you got mulah... hondata..
