So i advanced my timing all the way. aka i turned the dizzy all the way to the firewall, and had 92 octane in. I really like the performance, but want to know the best ways to help prevent detonation on a N/A motor?

Engine is stock with an exhaust and short ram intake. I dont really hear any loud knocking, esp. over my loud *** exhaust. I have a catch can installed to help lower the crappy gases going back into my combustion chamber, so hopefully which helps raise octane.

Question is, im getting an aem CAI, and hope this helps, but what kinda spark plugs should i use as well? im using the stock OEM ones for the d16y8 right now, and probably should run cooler plugs, right?

Also does the knock sensor help prevent detonation on mine? i have obd2 so im thinking with 92 octane i shouldnt ahve to worry about detonation

actually im selling my setup, its amazing, ill post it up on ebay. your PCV valve will NEVER need to be replaced....ill post it up soon.

Anyway, to prevent knocking you either need higher octane or less advance, or water injection or something such annoyingness.
