advance timing

Default advance timing

alrite a friend told me if i advance the timeing in my 93 dx coupe it'll make me a lil faster and will act like it has vtec is this tru

how will it act out Vtec in a dramatic screen play? Vtec is a profile, not a silverscreen premiere with a red carpet.

There is alot more involved with advancing your timing, and since your OBD1, dont do it.

god some one lock or delete this thread!

adv your timing you will have to use higher oct gas for one and there is a million threads about this kinder thing here or on the internet google it!

if your car is running fine dont touch it...especially timing related stuff

yea timing is mostly controlled by the sensors/ECU, dont F with it, set it to OEM specs and leave it. trust me.
