Adjusting clutch biting point?

I have to push my clutch like halfway down before it kicks it into neutral. This is annoying becuase for quick shifts I basically have to ride around with my foot on the clutch all the time (holdin it halfway down).

Is there any easy way to adjust it so it bites when i push the clutch down like 10% instead of like 60%?

You could adjust the clutch push rod located on the clutch pedal. That adjusts the amount of play in the pedal, but that is only if you have a hydro trans. I don't know about cable transmissions.

i just went out and looked at my pedal, there is the rod behind it with a threded end and a button type threaded thing in on front of the pedal. Which of these two do i tighten? The push rod, the button thing or both?

how do you adjust the push rod? do you need to remove the cotter pin and dowel attaching it to the pedal and then spin the thing that the dowel goes through ?

It's been a while since i did it, but I don't remember removing any pin. I believe you just loosen nuts, extend/shorten rod, then retighten nuts.
