and i want to adjust my timing this stupid guy i let work on my engine thinks he knows everything and moved my dizzy to fix my idle it was idling at like 200 and not it dropped and idles at like 100 now i want to raise it back up to at least 600-750 b.c the vibaration is stupid and i also think my timing is off i know how to raise my idle with the flat screw on the throttle body but as for timing im clueless i need some instructions i think im mis firing the exhaust sounds normal but about every 1.5 secs there a soft POOF and i think thats from misfiring and i also think i have an exhaust leak i can smell it in my car when im giving it gas how do i check to see if i have one?

Re: adjust the timing on my d15 weird exhaust (Ran4it2)
First get yourself a Manual.
Second you need a timing light.
Third Warm-up the car
Fourth Loosen the Dist. bolts
Five Jumper service connector
Six Hook up timing light
Seven Point timing light at timing marks on pulley
Eight move dist. to where the marks line up.
retighten the dist.
Un jumper service connector
drive.
If you don't know how, well, I would suggest getting it done by someone who does.
