Adding check engine light to race car.
Hey, been out of the game for awhile and a little bit rusty.
Helping a guy get his circle track ef up and running . he has a complete 94 si harness and a z6 in an ( i am going to disable the speed sensor so the car can still engauge vtec). but i know there is going to be a few CEL.
Now from what i read the a13 ( orange/black) is the CEL. but i wasnt getting any more the 3 volts dc from it. I ran out of time an didnt think to check , but is it negitive trigger or positive triggered? Or mabye i have the wrong pin.
Any help would be great . thanks

Clusters aren't too expensive, why not just hook one up? Is there a purpose for disabling the VSS? Do you not have one? If you need any kind of wiring, I have about all of it from a 94 EX. I want to say there is a way to stick the hydro VSS top on a cable VSS bottom.
And Gunmetal, yes, VTEC requires a VSS signal. You cannot engage VTEC while sitting.
