Default Adding A/C back into car...

Recently bought a 1997 Civic DX. I was told by the guy I bought it from that it did have A/C factory but the guy before him removed it. I do have an A/C button on my climate controls but I dunno if that makes a difference.

So how do I check if it did actually come with it and if it did, how difficult is it to put it back in?

I did check the FAQ and searched but everything was about adding A/C to cars that did not come with it.

Thanks.

There's relatively no difference.

The wires are there on the firewall side of your driver side headlight. You need the compressor which mounts to the driver side front (facing away from firewall) engine next to the exhaust manifold. You need the belt and the pipings and the radiator type thing that mounts next to your current radiator where i am guessing you have nothing. if your dash has the AC buttons I am guessing you have the right heater core for it (idk if there are even different ones) If you look where the battery is (you are facing the cars windshield) to the lower right of the battery you should see where the AC lines go into the firewall (pic below)

I recommend getting yourself a service manual so you can clearly see where everything goes.

i have a 6 from my street address and a piece of plastic blocking my ac line holes lmao

A/C does not mount up that high, also what are you talking about, "6 from my street address"?

I think youre right its the mounting just below what I circled. That is for the power steering! I dont know how else to explain the 6, what do you not understand about that...
