I just added 2 amps to my system to run a sub and the speakers. also installed a half farad cap. anyhow i was on the highway and when i came to an almost complete in traffic the car would just shut off. i would have to restart it. the battery light would come on right when it shuts off. did it a few times.

previously i had 1 amp and no cap. the car shut off 2wice, which both times when i had the music on loud. but after i stop turning up the music, it runs fine.
now even when the music is on low with the cap, car still shuts down..

i brought the battery to pepboys to get it tested, and they said the battery is good. i tested the alternator by removing the ground terminal, and the car still ran after the battery was disconnected, so don't think it's a bad alternator...anything else i'm missing?
