Acura EL- 13" wheels
Hey I've got a 91 hatch right now, b20z swap few other little things. I'm thinking of parting it and scrapping the shell.
I want to get into a Acura EL, as far as I know most civic sedans and ELs (96-00 specifically) are limited to 14 or 15" wheels.
I have a brand new set of 155 80 13s that I bought for my 91 that I would like to run on the el. Has anyone taken a bit out of their calipers to run 13s on these cars?
I was also thinking I would probably be able to grab a set of knuckles and brakes from a base 96-00 hatchback and they should fit this size .. Any input? I know It may sound stupid to some but I'm just pretty set on running this size.. The rims will be VX wheels

That's what I was thinking may be the easiest.. Do a whole knuckle swap, rotors, calipers and all from a CX hatch 96-00 ...or a 92-95 with the..9.5?? Rotors and abs..can someone confirm for sure the eg knuckles will fit on ek with no issue

It looks like there's about an inch of room but I'm unsure what size rotors the ex model use. I'm sure the ex model is the el model but with the upgraded interior.
Just checked honda parts site, the rotors are different part #s so they could be different size.

Re: Acura EL- 13" wheels
According to the above; there's only a slight variance between the two sizes. I ran a 205-40-16 for awhile on my EL and the diameter of those were only a fraction bit smaller diameter than 155-80-13's.
As far as brake clearance and such; I copied and pasted the following quote from Wikipedia page on 6th gen Civics.................
CX: The base trim package, available as a hatchback only. Appointed very sparingly (no standard radio or power steering), it came equipped with 13-inch wheels, 4-wheel double wishbone suspension, dual airbags, tinted windows, split/folding rear seat, and seating for five people. In 1997, the CX added 14-inch wheels as standard equipment. In 2000, the CX added tilt steering as standard equipment......
