Default Acura 1.6 el - annoying engine vibration

I have a 1998 Acura 1.6 EL (which is pretty much the same as a civic). My idle is kinda rough i.e. when in "park" you could slightly feel the engine vibration while holding the steering wheel and it vibrates even more when you place it in gear. It is the kind of vibration you experience when the idle speed is very low. Note that my idle is @ 800 rpm.

I went to an Acura dealer to get a $80 oil change and they suggested a $500 - $600 tune-up.

Any thoughts......

well, have you had a tune up lately?
i'm unsure of what takes place during a 600$ tune up, i hope you aren't paying for a donkey show for the shop for that much.
