Is It Actually Possible To Remove Alternator From Top Of Engine Bay???
as the topic states, in a 97 ex...
I tried for a good hour and I can't seem to figure it out!

MAN! You don't have to take off ****! If you position it just right it will come out over the axle and through the wheel well. Just get that splash shield out of the way.

remove the bracket that holds it on the engine block. It should drop from the bottom.

umm. i dont know about all of these things you guys are saying. ive pulled alternators from the top. its the only way i usually do them.

I pull them from the top via the "loosened master cylinder" approach. Never failed me. Not sure what the great debate is all about.

Honda would tell you to remove the axle and pull it out that way. But I would loosen the brake master cylinder and pull it out through there...
