Default Act stage 2 with stock Pressure plate

Ok I just put in a new oem clutch in my car like 3 months ago, and well turbo and stock= not good. I can get a stage 2 act for 120 just the disc, can i just use my stock PP since it is farly new? or should i ride it out and get a full kit for 300. Im trying to save money.

*Cliff Notes*
ACT stage 2 disc with oem PP, Good Or Bad Idea?

I found a couple on Ebay cheap 273.00 shipped with upgrade options. I think I'd rather have the act pp than the clutch disk. Then again I did the whole deal clutch flywheel combo all at once on mine. To each his own but I'd say ride it out and save up. Good luck!

it depends on how many times you feel like taking your transmission out of your car. If you truly are turbo'd, then do it right and change everything at once. All you are going to do is put more stress on the part you didn't break yet!

I dnt plan plan i running more then 9 psi. i just need something cause its slips uptop. And i need to hit the dyno. Thats why i was wondering cause 120+150(dyno)is only 270. As oppose to 300+150=450. thats a good saving. that way ;ater down the road i can just do the whole combo.
Has anyone heard of XTD clutchs? they any good.

change everything all at once, it will save you time and hassle for sure, just be sure u get a sprung clutch disc. I ended up getting a 6 puck unsprung w/ extreme
pp and the car shakes like im going to stall at every stoplight. i look like a rookie everytime the light turns red. plus if you are boosting, you are going to need a dependable clutch and pp to put all your power to the ground. stock specs are deffinately not going to help you at all

I've put a couple clutches thru mine already. Had a DFX Centerforce clutch, it held fine at 7psi, but slipped when I turned it up to 10psi. I put a cheap ebay 6-puck clutch in it and the pressure plate feels bad. Trying to decide which one to go with next. I'm thinking about waiting for the ACT sprung 6-puck disk.

yeah i would change the PP of i were u and why not tthrow in a flywheel while u hae the trans off...... u don't need a extreme PP though the heavy duty will do just fine unless ur gonna make over 300hp.... my bud was using the heavy duty with his ls and he was making 293whp....but if u plan on making more power down the road i'd go ahead and get the extreme
