for drag DONT get the prolite. Your 60ft times will go to hell. It is so hard to launch on a very light flywheeL. Basicly you rev to 6k, then as soon as you let go, your RPMS drop to 3.

streetlite over prolite; its a little heavier and will be eaiser to drive on and will keep you in boost longer while shifting than a prolite. i dont know much about the zex, but whatever one you get, be weary of aluminum (they can warp) and anything too light cause you're running a turbo

I would say run the Zex because all of the zex products I have in my car now work very well

there must be something wrong with the way you are launching, i can pull off 2.2s on street tires in an acccord with an 8.5lb flywheel.

If your rpms drop that low, then your bogging, not cuz the flywheel is too light.

Though you are right about lighter flywheels being not too much use in a drag environment, but they come in soo damn handy when you rev matching downshifts, and heel toe through a corner,

i have the prolite and i can chirp 3rd, of course the SRR 4.7final drive helps.

when i had a 10.5lb flywheel(stock final drive) there was no difference in shifting hard from 1st to 2nd between it and the stock 18lb one, both resulted in a little chirp. so the decrease in inertia of the lighter flywheel didnt impact much.

i say the main thing to consider is, the lighter the flywheel the more likely you'll get vibrations at idle, but even that can be remedied by increasing the idle rpm.

I tottally agree, I don't even really go to the tracks that much, its all about autocross and road courses for me. My street lite loves that.

go streetlite. Going too light will affect your daily driving too much. Rpms will drop off too fast almost stalling when coming to a stop. Plus you wanna keep you're motor at higher rpms to save your boost. Naw mean????

I have a Fidanza fly wheel and love it. Tried a friends Unorthodox fly wheel and didnt really like it. i think the fidanza has a way better construction and seems more solid than the unorthodox. just thought id post this to give you a wider range of options

I couldn't tell the difference between the two.. Not enough to make a difference in every day driving at least and I live in the bay area and there are plenty of hills.

i have an exedy 8.5lb in my hatch
given it is not turbo but i definately felt a difference.
i would think a 11-13lb flywheel would be best suited for boost because you dont want your engine to fall out of boost between shifts, which WILL happen if you have too light of a flywheel.

just my opinion and i will say this I LOVE MY EXEDY FLYWHEEL

I personally plan on running the ACT streetlite in my car. built B18c1 boosted. Seems to be what is right for me. Basically you just need to chose between which you think will suit your needs best
