Default acceleration problem

alright so i swapped a gsr motor into my 98 civic.

my problem is when i step the gas pedal all the way down it sounds like it chokes up. doesnt rev up and sometimes even a pop from the throttle body.

but when i slowly give it gas it revs up perfectly fine. ive tried two different tb already thinking maybe its the tps sensor and theres no difference.

if anyone knows how to fix this problem or what can possibly be wrong id appreciate their input.

You don't have the clips for the TPS and MAP Sensor backwards do you?(IE:TPS clip plugged into the map and vice versa) They both look the same and will plug up to either one.

CEL on?

Mine are basically:

Map:White/Yellow/Green
TPS:Yellow/Green/Red

However this is an LS...not GSR

Do you know what code the ECU is throwing? That could tell you ALOT right there.

that is most definitely the TPS sensor or Timing is off! i hated that i had a Honda that did that! i would slowly more and more floor it to go fast lol. it was fun though.

That happened to mine once, and it turned out to be the dizzy. It also could be the fuel pump and filter.
