AC reinstall in 92 Civic/B18 swap - what is needed?
Hi, I got a 92 hatch with B18 swap. The car originally had AC, but the previous owner removed it during the swap. Anyhow, I am thinking about reinstalling the AC so just wanted to be sure i got all the necessary parts.
Here is what I can think of:
AC lines
Condensor
Condensor Fan
Compressor (B motor)
Compressor bracket (B motor)
Am I missing anything?

Re: AC setup / what is needed
You need the D series compressor to fit the lines, and the Del Sol VTEC or CRV AC bracket to mate the compressor to the block. The D compressor is smaller and unless you get custom lines, the B compressor won't hook up.
Harness if you don't already have it, a new one of those canister shape things that mounts behind the driver's side headlight (someone has to know what that's called). Get new green 0-rings and some flush stuff to clean out the evaporator since it's probably got gunk in it now from sitting.

The car was an AC car, so the harness, evap, drier and relays are still on the car.

Here is what I can think of:
AC lines (92-93 R-12/94-95 R-134a)
Condensor 92-93 R-12/94-95 R-134a
Condensor Fan (don't forget the relays and wiring if you don't have)
Compressor (B motor) Get a D series compressor, less headache
Compressor bracket (B motor)Get a P54(del sol vtec)/P7J(CRV) <--cheaper
Your missing: Drier and Evaporator
Am I missing anything?

AC Bracket:You need an ac bracket, I would prefer a P54 bracket, it would retain your power steering if you want that. If not, go for the P7J its cheaper. These brackets would mount to your b18 block. Don't forget the bolts unless you want to order OEM from honda for $5 a piece.
Compressor:Any D series compressor from the 92-95 civic models will bolt up to the ac bracket mentioned above. You don't need a B series compressor unless you want to have custom lines and a regular ac bracket for the B18 motor.
Condensor: I recommend you flushing then putting recommended oil in it if your getting it used . Don't forget your choice on R-12/R-134a for fitment.
Drier: You need to get a new drier. Once that thing is exposed to air for a long period of time, it becomes useless. Don't use it! it will ruin your system. Better safe than sorry. This is a $30+ part
Evaporator: Flush your evaporator since it's been an opened system with moisture in it and put the recommended oil. Change your TXV($30+) while your at it. You don't want to open your system again just because a stuck TXV. You can't flush a TXV so don't do that.
Hope this Helps
Here is an Article on how to install an AC system if you didn't already know.
