Re: Ac Question - Freeon went everywhere
no one is the safety high pressure blow off valve for the compressor and the other is the slave cylinder for the clutch. what happen was either the valve went bad or the pressure got to high

Re: Ac Question - Freeon went everywhere
Yeah, now that I see it again, it might be. The freon may evaporate, but the A/C oil wont. Tho its just ester oil, so it wont harm anything if wiped off rubber etc.
Could have been overloaded as said, and it just let off the pressure. Problem is, why did it get over pressured? Did you just work on it?

Re: Ac Question - Freeon went everywhere
the system may have been charged on a cool day and not charged properly. so the hotter day caused higher pressure blowing the check valve or I have seen valves just go bad.

Alrigt cool, yeah i didnt know if it was going to harm anything or not, but Yeah my A/C got worked on about 3 weeks ago, I needed a new evaprator and he recharged it and all that, but if it was a bad valve, it is easy to replace? And how should I go about testing it?

Re: Ac Question - Freeon went everywhere
its easy to fix... its just screwed in right there on the back of the compressor. order a new one and slap it in then recharge it or u could just take it back to the shop that did the work
