Re: ac/ps/abs in an EK?? (Mr Knee)
you can get all that stuff out of multipe civics.
the lx is the only one with abs. excepts certain special order ex's.
DX's should have AC along with every other model. maybe not CX im not sure.
as for PS an ex, lx, or si would have PS.
all can be swapped into your car without too many problems. the abs is the only one i'm not to sure about how easy it would be.
you can even go bigger and better and swap Power Windows, Power Mirrors, Power Locks, Keyless Entry, and Cruise Control!!! i've done the swap for all these so it can be done.
You guessed some places to find parts... ebay is a good resource for some used parts as well. good luck man.

Re: ac/ps/abs in an EK?? (EeeJayEight)
my '99 Si has all of the goodies, -abs . if you go with an ex i think you get the same and those two models will be a good base to please your parents. But, DX's and other models are cheaper and i know you can swap anything in so just read up on your stuff and you should be able to do all the work yourself which will save a ton of money.

If you need A/C, make sure you get an A/C car. Getting all the A/C parts (compressor, evap, condensor, txv, lines, etc) is expensive and time consuming. Not to mention you'll have to get the HVAC controls and wire it all up. That would suck.

Re: (n00bcivicowner)
I have a Canadian Model CX hatch (Plain, no options). I bought a smashed 96ex for $600. A/C took less than an hour to install everything over (got a garage to recharge the r134a -$40). Power Steering was less than 2hrs to do, including a 4 wheel alignment. I swaped the entire sub-frame over as this was the quickest method, not to mention, it alreadly had a sway bar installed. I decided to mini-me my d16y7 as it was a high milage car (4hrs). The power windows and OEM electric locks took the longest to install as the floor harness were damaged. My car now has most options available to a civic. It cost me very little, other than my time. I did all these mods over a couple of weeks as I could not be without my car for long. A/C and power steering was VERY, VERy easy to do. The 96-00 model civic is pre-wired for a/c, plug and play.

Re: (prison_snitch)
The ABS swap was too much work, wasnt worth doing in my case. Unfortunatelly, I have no writeups, but any question regarding this I can most likely answer for you.

Re: (Mr Knee)
I bought an entire car (smashed hard) for $600 cdn. Was able to part out the parts I didnt use and make 2x the money back. So my parts were technically free. If you had to buy everything needed, Id say probally around $200 should find you something. Any model civic from 96+ will fit. Integra might be the same, but I am not sure.
