ac/heater control on civic 97 ex coupe
sup guys. I bought a civic 97 but the heater control thingy doesn't work. u know how the thingy that slides back and forth to make it hot or cold on the climate control thing. well it slides to fast so den i check if it had a wire and so the previous owner cut the wire. wut should i do guys? is there a way to attach another wire and is it hard? can sum1 explain how to make it work agian.

You're going to have to remove the climate control. It'd be easiest to just replace the entire climate control piece with one from a salvage yard.
You'll have to remove the panel that's under the climate control (the panel that houses the 12 volt plug) and access the lower screws through there.
The wire just clips on.

I mean, under the dash where the cable connects to the blower assembly, the cable just clips on.
IIRC, it's a pain to get off of the climate control assembly. So just get a full used part. I don't think you can order just the cable form Honda anyway and it'd probably be comparable in price to buy a used climate control versus a brand new cable.
Just go to a salvage yard and pull the entire climate control assembly. You'd have to remove the climate control from the dash to get to the other end of the wire anyway, so it's actually LESS work than trying to just remove the cable.

hey thankz buddy for the nice picture and help. i thought it would be hard to do this job beacuse i thought the wire was connected from the climate control to the front of the engine fire wall where the 2 lines from coolant connects to the heater coil.. lol thankz alot. sorrie for asking to many questions.
