Guys, quick question... my Lady's EK has a problem with its HVAC controls. Basically her AC fan works only at positions 3 and 4, but won't put out any air at 1 and 2.


Any ideas on what it could be? It's probably something simple...

96-98 or 99-00 HVAC controls? Did you try cleaning out the blower?

blower motor resistor, start there, check to see if its good. if not replace it

Saywhat: It's a 97, sorry. And no, I haven't tried cleaning out the blower motor although I think it might be an electrical issue since on 1 and 2 it doesn't do anything, kicks hard only once you move it to 3 and 4.

acidburn2k2: Thanks for the tip... is that on the blower motor itself? What's the easiest way to access it... under the passenger side dash, correct?

there was a thing in the FAQ about this. i believe it was a relay that was under the dash that is behind the glove box.

i dont remember what exactly it is, i believe it is a relay though. try look in the FAQ and see what it says
