ac compressor for d15b with vtec
So I just bought my first Honda Civic yesterday and it's a 96 EK swapped to a d15b with VTEC so I was intrigued and I bought it but it doesn't have an AC compressor so I was wondering is it still possible to put one on? And if so what kind of AC compressors does it take and is there a cheap place to get one

All D-series blocks have the same mounting holes and attach to the car the same way. The original stock lower front engine mount should have 4 empty holes to mount the compressor. Also there is another part with the idler pulley and the tension adjuster. If you don't have that, remove it from any USDM car that had A/C.
The engine mount / compressor holder is part #1 in this diagram. Four long bolts go through the compressor body from the front of the car and thread into part #1. https://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com...t-engine-mount You will see it again (without a number) in this diagram. You need to bolt part #12 to it, and all the parts associated with part #12 which carry the idler pulley #13. https://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com...pressor-sanden |

Update I actually found a compressor mount with the idle pulley tensioner in the trunk of the car(so lucky lol) now I just need a cheap place to purchase the actual compressor
and thank you mk378 for that amazing response, if the whole honda community is like that then I'm gonna love being a part of it |
