Default AC causing engine to overheat~

What can be causing this? There is no problems with the AC itself...new battery...air filter unchanged but is only on 90k...

It starts to overheat after about 30min of use.

Is your A/c condensor fan cycling on and off?

Not sure what that is..but if its within the ac itself the ac was tuned up and fixed so it shouldn't be the ac's fault. I think it might be the radiator or electrical wiring problems though.

check upper and lower rad hoses. if one is cold after like 10-15 min, your thermostat is borked.

if both are hot. look elsewhere.

******* A did anyone not see that post?

You need to make sure that the A/C condensor fan is kicking on as soon as you turn the A/C switch on. If it's not coming on, then there's one place to start. Check the A/C fan relayes first, fuses, etc. The fan itself could be shot as well if the relays check out okay.

Hi maybe this could help. I an from South africa and have an 1986 150 Honda carbed model with some mods. The same happened to me as you. After a took out the A/C the problem of overheating went away, bur we realised that the A/C radiator was blocked and that caused the airflowed to be influenced by heat..ext. to the radiator of the car.

Hope it helps. Just check your A/C radiator to see if it isnt blocked
