im contemplating whether to get a front fiberglass bumper kit, or ABS plastic OEM front bumper with a type R lip... the car has a full body kit and 15" black rims.. what would you do?

Fiberglass is a hell of alot easier to work with then ABS plastic, but they both use the same principle to fix it incase if you crack it. So either or youll have to do the same work, just one would take longer then the other.
Now which one do you like better? Go with that.

Why do you care about the weight on a bodykit? The increased drag from the added surface area slows you down much much more than the weight difference between two materials, not to mention the overall weight addition of the unnecessary cosmetic addition of a bodykit.

to hell with the weight thing. Go with the plastic. Ever bump a curb when parking becuase you accidently went too far? If so your bumper probably just bounced back like nothing ever happened. Maybe a paint scratch. Now if you would have done that with a fiberglass front, you'd be fixing the crack in the bumper. Go with ABS or urethane.

Weight is more of an issue since drag wouldn't be a problem unless he drove everywhere at 100mph +.
