Icon3 ABS and check engine light on after hard shifts

Okay so I was driving a couple of weeks ago being stupid I red lined first shifted into second really quick and bam the car jerked a lot check engine light came on and went of real quick, kind of felt like it shut off real quick and came back one and the abs light came on for a quick second just like the check engine light, both lights stayed off after that. I'm trying to figure out what caused this I mean its happened again whenever I go from first to second real quick... At redline. Any ideas?? I was thinking bad engine mounts? Help please

ummm... what code comes up? if your obd2 it should stay stored...

maybe theres a loose connection somewhere that disconnects when the engine or car jerks hard? or damaged wiring that would do the same...

Engine knock probably? I believe the check engine light flashes during engine knock but will remain off afterwards.

i highly doubt its engine knock, i drove my car from nc to ohio this past weekend, and it ran fine in the past 4 days ive put 2000 miles on it and it drove fine, i mean i was doing about 90 the whole way and everything was fine... also there should be no reason for my engine to be knocking i mean, i keep it up with tune ups, and the previous owner has and i only have a 110 000 miles on it (its an 00 civic ex 4 dr) and i mean everything is perfect with the car except that...

the fact that the light stays off is killing me, i know my engine mount is bad and im putting a new one in as soon as i get a break from school. could that be it?

any other ideas??

Along this line, I think that the abs system is sensitive to voltage spikes, so an electrical problem, such as with the voltage regulator in the alternator, is another possibility.

Jump the service connector to pull the CEL code(s).

Why continue to speculate? It will literally take you 5 minutes to jump the service connector and pull the CEL codes.

Oh I know, I was just lolling back at the clown that told me his engine doesn't have a knock sensor I just don't KNOW which motors have them, I bet most, probably all? It's kind of critical to have one.
