about to swap a motor

Default about to swap a motor

im about to drop a 98 jdm motor.... is it worth it to get a new water pump and oil pump while the motor is still out still or am i over it cuz the motor is still pritty new???

First of all...always be specific and secondly...it is always worth it to put in a new water pump and check the oil pump for leakage...if you are eventually going to build the motor you might as well put in a Prodrive Oil pump gear. Just get one that will last a LONG time under heavy-duty driving...That is my .02.

while your at it, put in a different head gasket as well

While you have it out and if you have some extra cash you could put in a new clutch if you need more grabbing powa, but seeing as it is a 98 motor the stock clutch should have plenty of life left. It'll just be much easier to put the clutch in while the entire motors out.
