Re: about rota SS (4doormadman)
spoon black is more ashy... slipstream black is is a type of flat black yet still has a sort of sheen to it.spoons are powdercoated, rotas are just painted.
for 4 lug
from what ive seen..15 inch rotas and 15 inch spoons both have the extra holes around the lug patterns in 4 lug patterned rims.
the 16 inch spoons have no extra holes around the 4 lug pattern. the rota 16s do.
for 5 lug
16 inch spoon has no extra spaces. rota does
15 inch spoon has extra spaces. so does rota

Re: about rota SS (gud boi)
i think u should lose the wing..the car is clean..but the wing doesnt flow with the body lines..i would get a factory sedan wing..i think the jdm one is the same with a longer led..whichever u find the cheapest should be good. and im sure u can easily find one in the charcoal

...its like buying a knock off Kate Spade bag for $20 @ downtown when the real bag retails for $350. a couple of months later, your great "deal" is falling apart.
quality cant be compromised.

well my slips haven't "fallen apart" yet. The thing that's great about the slips is that they are good for daily driving. They may not be forged, or as light as the spoons. But they are excellent wheels for the money. I bet anything that they are just as strong as anyother non-forged wheel.

spoons are made in russia, they are magnesium, they are overpriced but i guess its okay cause they are spoons the cost of production is most likly lower due to cheap material + labour, all in all = just paying for SPOON name
vs
rota which is much better deal when looking at quality vs price vs durability and light weight, some people should look past the whole "spoon COPY" and look at the whole picture
believe me if you drive on Canadian roads in springs you be glad that you only have rotas not spoons, spoons are race wheels which are not really designed for the street
and by paying alot of $$$ doesn't mean your getting the best there is,
is Ferrari or any other Italian made luxury/race car the most reliable vehicle, no don't think so
is the pair of designer shoes from Italy or Paris which you paid $1000+ going to last you longer then a set made in Taiwan by good mainstream company no don't think so
"""""""" please stop knocking ROTA wheels/name, if that what someone wants that let him have it, at least they are not stolen but rather hard earned"""""""
and for all those nutriders who think its all about the name + cash = just look at the tag where your shoes where made

spoons may make you .5 seconds faster on a road course, but with the 1200-1500 BUX you save with the rotas, you can buy stuff to make you faster then .5 secs a lap. Hell you could even get a "true coilover suspension" with the left over cash.
