Default about how much horse do i get out of bolt ons

So we have a 93 cx and a 92 cx. 93 has a d15b7 with headers, exhaust, intake, and chipped but not tuned, and the 92 cx has a d16z6 with headers, chipped but not tuned and intake. stock theres 25 more horse in the d16z6 but I stomp all over it in the 93. Does exhaust really do that much diffrence, and ive been told tuning is = to exhaust and intake, is that true ?

ok let me get this straight... the 93 is a d15 and the 92 is a d16, so you run all over the d15 with the z6 and your surpised?

and by exhaust do u mean a fart can or full exhaust? i know single cams come with some pretty small exhaust pipe so by running larger full exhaust it should wake it up.

with simple bolt on like i/e/h .u wont need a tune.waste of money and u maybe gain 1 or 2 hp, it is your car getting louder but not going any faster. because compression ratio is the same. air and fuel ratior is the same.. without internal engine upgrade or force induction system, u wont need a tune and you wont gain much hp
