About to buy a b16a2 from R-Crew in SF... few quick questions.
i'm prob going to go buy this tomorrow from these guys. They are selling me the full JDM b16a2 for 2000 even out the door. Said to be complete and ready to drop in.
the motor is a 92 model year... my car is a 93 civic dx coupe.
so besides the vtec wiring issues... what else will i need to do to get this to work? i know this has been asked a million times before but i'm not sure if anything is different for my year car and that year motor.
My car is OBDI right? and that year b16a2 is also OBDI or is it OBDII?
this **** confuses me a little.
Also the mounts are from the car it was in... they should work fine with my civic right?
the motor has about 35k and comes with a warranty on all parts (that they are not broken) and a start up warranty.
Also they said that if i hook up USDM smog equipment then i would be able to pass with that motor. Only thing it the year is a 92 and my car is a 93 but it's JDM so they don't really check that as far as a know.
Sorry for asking questions that have probably been asked before ... i'm just a little nervous and want to make sure that everything goes well.
thanks!

don't do it, your car wont pass smog and it doesn't matter if it is JDM they still check the **** and if the motor is a 92 then it is not a b16a2 it is a b16a and is not worth 2000. check out HMO they have b16a2's i think for 2200 or something close to that.
again if i were you i would not buy it. car will never pass smog with it, its a 1st gen b16, and its too much for what it is

err they said it's a 2nd gen b16 with hydro tranny. what year did they start making the 2nd gen b16 w/ hydro tranny?
he might have quoted me the year wrong. I'm sure they wouldn't lie to me about the motor... that would just be stupid... plus i've only heard good things about these guys.

he probably said b16a sir2, from the 5th gen jdm civic sir. it had a hydro tranny and 170 hp.

save yourself the headache and buy a usdm motor. people have been able to get a jdm motor to pass, but it is not the norm. b16a2 is not a jdm motor, btw. and it would be obd2. i would get your story straight first. good luck.
