About an Armrest in EK
i have a 97 civic hatchback dx that doesnt have an armrest. i came across this picture on EBAY and i want one of these, but is ther any other color than black with red stiching that any company makes?
this is a ITR armrest right? and how much does one of these go far, and is install easy?

Re: About an Armrest in EK (sohcvtec1995)
An actual ITR/CTR armrest....I've seen them go for as much as $70-$100 plus shipping on here. Waste of money in my opinion. I agree with sohcvtec1995, it looks like a regular ek armrest that was reupholstered. If you can't find any companies that sell one in the colors you want, find an upholstery shop and have them do it.

Holy ****, are people really so on the JDM bandwagon they'd buy a CTR/ITR armrest for 3x the cost of an EK armrest even if it looked the exact same? Go to walmart and buy some black fabric and some red thread and bust out the sewing needle for the true JDM armrest you've always wanted.
I dont know hatches, but are you missing just the padded armrest part, or does the hatch center console just lack the armrest/hump like in the gen2 GSR's like my bro has? I know he hates not having an arm rest in his.

You should be able to buy one from a 96-00 Civic, EX or SI. There's two screws on either side right in front of the e-brake, and it slides off. Should take 2 minutes to install.

i have the em1 armrest in my ek hatchie. it fits but i was told i needed a (bracket?) to hold it in the back correctly. it doesnt move unless u pull the backside up. basically its held by the 2 screws behind the shift boot...

Re: (BiziggumS)
the armrest only came in the 2 and 4 door models. hatches didn't get one. just go to your local junkyard and pull one out of any 2 or 4 door with the same colour interior as yours. no big deal if you really want it. as far as installing it, it will fit in exactaly as your stock console.

Re: (onePOINTsix)
bought an armrest for my ek hatch for 30 bucks off ebay. the latch for the lid is broken but its still nice to have. the only thing for me was that there are two brackets the hold the console on and the armrest is too long for them so it wont grab and can be moved around pretty easily.

All '96-00 HX, LX, EX, and Si models came with an armrest. They can be found in light gray, dark gray, or tan.

Re: (Targa250R)
Technically Honda considers the tan a "Taupe". LOL So that way when you go to get the carpet and curtains to match, you know what shade of brown to look for.
