__ Relocated ground wire on motor, is this safe?? __
I'm working on cleaning up the engine bay and moved the ground wire from the valve cover to the rear of the engine. I put it on the chassis and then connected it the intake manifold. (where the bracket that holds the hose that goes to the FPR is)
Is this safe? I see some full wiretucks where people still leave the ground up front so is there a reason for people not usually moving it?
Thanks

Yeah, its actually not all that important. Especially since the stock B-series ground point doesn't even work. If you actually look at it all it does is ground the valve cover, theres a rubber seal between the head and the valve cover so i'm not even sure what the purpose of that ground was.

Probably a ground incase a spark plug wire goes or plug goes bad.. it can ground through the valve cover, to the chassis, to the battery..

I just did this the other day as well.
I'm pretty sure it should be okay, can anyone else confirm?

i remember when i took the ground from my valve cover to the chassis on my old CRX, the car wouldn't idle right. It would misfire and the whole engine would shake at idle and it would sputter when i drove it.
Then i remembered i took the ground off, put it back on and idled regular again.
