the apexi n1 is a very nice exhaust for a stock motor with bolt ons. if u are looking into building the motor go bigger.

not too loud, deep and good quality? if money really isnt an issue.. mugen twin loop for sure. or if thats too expensive, check out some of tanabe's stuff. good quality there. any N1 style exhaust is going to be loud.. just the way it is.

A'pexi WS-II Exhaust is a nice mellow exhaust. You need to spend some time on you tube listening to different clips to find what you like.

It is hands down the best sounding exhaust I've heard on a Honda. Not loud at all, unless you're on the throttle, and then it sounds deeeeep and throaty. It'll never rust or fall apart, and the quality and fitment is seriously top notch. The only issue would be the price, but if you're patient they pop up on the HT marketplace for under $400. You probably won't find the midpipe though if you're buying used, but any muffler shop can build you a B pipe for cheap.
Otherwise your next best bet would be the ApexI WS2.

The N1 is going to be too loud. Get a WS II or I have a Greddy SP2 with no cat, no resonator and it's not loud at all, just a WOT

Re: 99si w b18c swap which exhaust system????
I used the Yonaka knock off of the WS-II since I would be going FI in less than a year and couldn't justify paying for a A'pexi that would just be coming off. I was very surprised how well it sounded for a cheap exhaust ($250ish for cat back) even without a cat. I did have to cut of the 2" flange and replace with a 2.5" flange since I have a aftermarket header.
