You can find a b18b LS swap for around a grand usually, maybe a lil less or more, but that will give u decent power without blowing a lot on the motor, and LS get good gas milage Then save a lil more and boost it, and u will be very happy Everyone has their own views on it, so expect some varied results, and just do it right the first time

I currently have a LS Hatch and i would trade it for anything. The motor only has 140hp (factory) with i believe 127tq but it feels strong and pulls nice. There are large debates about VTEC motors vs. NonVTEC but it somewhat balances out in some cases. I know people who say they dont feel to much of a difference from a b18b hatch or a B16 hatch...The B16 has more HP but the B18 had more torque. Its all about preference and future plans.
