99 Si wont turn over?!?
I have a 99 Si, my wife just called and said it wont turn over to start.
She said she was on the way to the store and the car just shut off, and someone helped her by push starting it and it cranked right over and she drove it home.
Im at work now, but when I get home I need to know what to look for because I need the car tomorrow. If it will push start can that eliminate the clutch saftey? Is there a fuse or something I should look for? The radio and everything works fine.
Im going to check the ground and battery connection, what else??

Car won't die because neutral safety switch
Check for loose or coroded battery terminals
And check your main engine grounds
Now if it just won't crank and it didn't shut off you could bypass your nutrual switch
Check battery terminals and starter wire
If all of those are tight and won't turn over
Try to jump the solenoid on your starter and see if it starts
It's that doesn't work take your starter to autozone and have them test it
And if all else fails go get a new ignition switch

The car stalled while she was driving?
When she attempted to start the car, did the car crank, but not start? Or were there "clicks" when she attempts to start the car?
There could be multiple possibilities off the information you provided.

I asked if she could hear the fuel pump prime, she doesn't know
I asked if the starter clicks, she doesn't know
All she told me, was that it runs if its push started, but if you turn the key to start it, the motor wont spin over. But all the electronics work. I asked, she said she didn't hear clicking.

I know we need more info, I got as much as I could from her (she doesn't know much about cars). It did stall when she was driving, she said it just shut off. (I dont know if she really stalled it and was embarassed to tell me)

Do you know if it still does not turn on when she tries to start it now that shes home? If not, what V8eatrr suggested should be a good start. Let us know what you find when you get home.

Re: 99 Si wont turn over?!?
So I'm home now,
I think the ignition switch is fine. The radio and cig outlet dim out (like it always has in start position, and everything powers on fine).
When I turn the key to start it, there is nothing at all, no click, no noise from the starter or anything. Battery is fine.
Is the clutch switch the bottom or top switch?
Also I hooked a jumper cabel to a big screw driver and touched the starter solenoid, it makes a spin noise, like a electric motor with no load on it. Is that normal? It didn't crank the motor over at all.
Also it only does that when I apply power to the starter, when I use the ignition it does nothing at all.
