i barely beat on this car...i give it a good couple redlines a maybe a couple times a month if not less..otherwise im shifting at like 3500...well today i was driving and just felt like hitting vtec because it was cold out and i redlined the car and this big *** cloud of smoke was left behind me..like badly...i hit it a second time and not nearly as much came out and the third time i was above like 7500 no smoke came out at all...is this because i drive the car at such low RPMS all the time that it gets clogged up or something? or do i have a major problem on my hands?

i change the oil every 3500 so thats definately not the problem

i dunno it was night time i couldnt really tell..i think it was whitish though...but like i said..after i hit it the first time it basically went away...i usually use shell V power but i down graded ..maybe thats the problem?

also the car felt much better and the vtec was louder when i hit it the third time..when i hit it the first time it felt like the car was ****in clogged up or something

yeah. cant really say anything without much detail. try again and c if it does it just rev in park and see it if shoots. a color will def help

there is your problem. remember man you are driving a si and those motors are not made to stand redlines

pretty sure its like a whitish color but im not loosing any coolant..im just going to go with the guys at mavis put too much oil in my car on the last change.

lulz...bro..then wtf is the 8k rev limit for..8.5k whatever it is..as long as you dont bounce of the limiter i dont see the problem..the problem is some kids beat on the car day in and out like its a formula 1 race car.

vtec won't kick in, in park (neutral), so if it's a problem with the vtec that wont help

yup thats what my moms 99 Si did she never got on it and oneday I took it to get tires put on it and I got on it a little to just clean out the pipes

Mine does the same **** lol, but its blackish smoke... My gas mileage sucks ***! I don't get on it much either tho, just every now and again to "pressure wash" the injectors

A b16 can rev all day long dude,the engine is not happy below 6k,i had my b16 for about 2 years and it gets a good amount of punishment and it doesn't burn oil or knock and thats revving to 9k a few times.
