99 SI rear window defroster problems
I have a 99 SI with low miles. The problem is the rear window defroster will not work. I checked with a light tester to see if it gets power and it does. On both sides. I looked at the bottom of the glass and realized that the window used to be tinted before I got the car (still some residue from the tint). Upon closer inspection I can see numerous parts of the metal messed up or missing on the defroster lines. What is the best way to go about fixing this. I originally got a repair kit but I have a feeling it will take forever to try to track down all those missing links. Is there an easier way to fix this? (besides obviously getting a new window)
Thanks.
Thanks.

Is there a good kit out there that has some more supplies for me to use. The one I got at the local parts store will only fix a small amount of the problem I have.

Nope. That's pretty typical. Obviously the breaks you have in yours are from scraping the window film off. Those kits are just for dealing with very minor ones.
Might want to try Ebay though.
