99 Si Front end Pop/Knocking Noise??
I have been getting a really weird noise in the front end of my si, The car is all stock. When I go to back up in reverse and turn the wheel slightly I get a pretty loud Pop noise, It doesnt do this when driving , Only when making a slow turn, Im thinking something other than a axle but I have not had time to look under the car yet, Any ideas what to look for? Thanks

Well get under the car and take a look to make sure there is no obvious's standing out, just check for play in balljoints, tierods, ect.
And also check for bushing condition and report back with your findings.

Jack the front end up, and check your tie rods, tie rod ends, and ball joints. It's easy enough to do - just grab the wheel at 3/9 and wiggle it hard, then grab at 12/6 and wiggle hard. If it moves 3/9, you have tie rod problems. If it moves 12/6, you have ball joint problems. If it wiggles everywhere, you have wheel hub bearing problems and/or all of the above.
It could be your CV joints, but how about we actually try diagnosing it before we start throwing money and parts at it.
