Default 99 si: all motor = 13's?

jus wondering, im buying a 99 si soon. and i want to go all motor on it. Here's what i plan on doing.

Crower Stroker kit - 87 or 84 mm bore(i heard 85 is max, can 87 be done?)
- 12.5:1 or 13.0:1 compression
Crower Stage 3 cams with cam gears
Ported/polished/coated head (still looking for this, who does good head porting?)
Hondata
Bolts ons

Sticky street tires, no back seats or trunk, carbon fiber skin hood, 13lb racing seats, misc weight reductioon

13's possible?

Um, 13:1 CR is definately streetable IF you can get ahold of 93 or 94 octane where you live. I know I can (northwestern Ohio = racing country), and I know my buddy b19civicHB has 12.5:1 CR in his JDM b18 and he hasn't knocked yet. I did, however, take the liberty of buying him an MSD to further disuade detonation. I suggest the same for you.

With all that stuff you should be able to hit 12's with slicks no problems, and possible with drag radials.
13's aren't too hard to aquire, I've seen people do it just with CTR pistons, and a built head. If it were up to me, I'd just get a gsr shortblock and go from there. Last time i heard, stroker kits where very expensive.

it just seems way to high for what he wants... and what he listed... 12:5 is the highest i would ever go, he didnt even list the new valve train he would need, plus
(ignition.... as you said..) ect.... TUNING.....

ive heard horror stories with crower cams breaking, and no horror stories about crane..

i just vaguely posted what i wanted, i know there is a lot missing from that list....

and 13.0:1 is streetable...ive seen a dodge neon with 13.6:1 on 93 octane, he had some sick *** cams tho...tahts why it ran without knocking.

with high compression you just need some insane cams to lower static compression. doing a compression test wil tell you how prone to knocking it is, i believe 230ish is streetable with 93.

and i am getting ignition control....im getting full control - Hondata

Who does good cylinder head porting? and im thinking of going with a Header tech 3" header. What kind of intake manifolds are availble and are there any ITB's ?

With that CR and cams, doesn't sound like you plan to run this thing on the street.

I have heard of 87mm bore on sleeved blocks, but I would not run anything bigger than 85mm on a street driven car. At 87mm, reliability and head gaskets would probably be an issue. Portflow and Alaniz both have good reps for Honda head porting. You might want to explore other camshaft options; you may still end up going with the Crowers, but do some research first.
