Default 99 Honda Civic Si Guage Cluster

I need HELP! My cluster was stolen and replaced with one that reads 92k miles! My car only has 58k. How do you role the miles back so i can set it back to where it should be?

People aren't going to tell you how to roll back an odometer. Touching that is against the law.

Nobody who steals gauge clusters is nice enough to replace them.

Nice try though.

Obviously the person who stole it didn't replace it. Are you serious? Anyway when it was stolen i notified my insurance company and they got another cluster that a body shop installed for me.

"my cluster was stolen and replaced with"

That sounds like someone stole yours and put something in it's place. It's not uncommon for that to happen, just not with gauge clusters.

When my girlfriend's car was stolen, they took her blades, and replaced them with a PERFECT sunflower, a chewed up web, and two donuts.

Oh, and if a body shop did that, demand a replacement for what you got stolen... unless you don't actually have an si.

If it was replaced by your insurance company, it should be new. However, either way there should have been documentation recorded when the new one was installed indicating the mileage on the cluster. You should contact your DMV to determine the proper procedure for correctly noting this change.

I dunno if this would apply to your situation but for my shop we usually have a specialty shop change the milage on a odometer. Of course were a professional shop so I dunno if you can just walk in there and have them do it. Look it up in your phone book and call a place.

where i work we have to put a mileage sticker on the car to show the mileage of the car and cluster that was put in. i don't see why it wouldn't be somewhat similar for you and your state.

I do agree, the shop should have done it or had another shop do it but how would they know the actual mileage if the cluster is not there? Someone could tell them it has less than it really has. I have seen the last dated mileage stickied on the cluster but that's beat!

Indeed. Crapy seats, an over-rated motor, stupid spoiler, ugly wheels, and parts that everyone and their mom wants. And EBP, ugh. That's an ugly-*** color, and it makes people jack you.

The price you pay for an Si could buy you an EX and a turbo kit.

Voilah, same car, faster, no "steal-me" paintjob.

I gotta tell you, i'm alot more upset that you got to curse and i couldn't. The real deal is the car was stolen, everything replaced including cluster. I sold it and the stupid kid won't leave me alone about helping him to turn it back to the correct mileage. I was hoping to find some info to print out and give to him and let him deal with it. He has my damn cell # and won't ******* leave me alone!
