Default 99 hona civic dx intake question

i just put in a cheap apc intake in my honda recently and i got it all in all tubes are on right

everything feels tight and nothing looks lose but i hear ALOT of air

but like even when the car is idle i can hear air going thru the intake like we i take off from a stop light i can hear the intake

... are intakes suppose to be loud ? Like you hear the air sucking?

Yep. You just removed all the factory plumbing that is desgined to eliminate all that noise--thus all the new noise. Worry not.

Not to be pissy, but them APC intakes and filters aren't all they seem. Trust me, I had 2. Heck I even tryed to use 1 with half of the other to get in a goo location. But never could due to the bend and the crap filter they give ya. Get yourself a ebay CAI and filter man, like $39. You will notice more of the noise, but will be also seeing a better breathing motor. In my personal opinion.

I used a APC intake and filter on my D16z6 a while back and it worked just fine. I heard my VTEC switch over and I felt a good power difference....just make sure you put it on right so the **** isn't hanging all over the place and falling off.
