I have a EX and i still believe that a SOHC can have just as much potential as a DOHC. I say upgrade the cams. There is no point in trying to make power with Econo cams.

don't get me wrong, I love my little ex with the greddy turbo, but it all depends on what you want. If you want something to do low 12's and 11's somewhat realiably, i would say swap and go turbo. But if you just want something fast for the street, stick with the ex and get the greddy turbo, it's a nice kit. I've stood by my sohc but i think it's time to move on to bigger and better things.

Skip the exhaust and header for now... what's that, like $500/ea? So for a grand, plus the $500 you have left over, sell the CAI, and get a Greddy turbo kit. Look around; you can find em for around $1500 new, or about $900-1000 for a used kit. And forget what everyone says, you CAN run a Greddy turbo kit on the stock exhaust!

i won't laugh at the guy, because unless you have something insane done to your si, you won't beat me and i have an automatic ex. But unfortunately us sohc owners do have to realize that we will always be a step behind a dohc if they have work done to their car. That's why i have made the decision to swap. Not because i can say i did a swap or because "look at me i have a dohc", but more because i want a motor that can with stand more abuse than my sohc will now. But good luck with your car. You will have no problem hitting low 13' high 12's, just becareful not to break anything.

Try http://www.thepartstrader.com.

I bought mine for $1000 in Dec 2000 from there, and included a Type S BOV as well... Turbo was in reasonable shape.
