99 EX sedan *ABS* rear disc swap Q's
hey guys,
so i have a 99 EX sedan that has rear drums and ABS. I already have the rear trailing arms, e-brake cables..blah blah. i have done this conversion already in a 94 EG coupe. i got the 40/40 prop valve and 15/16 bb/mc off a sedan i believe with rear discs for the EG swap and it works great.
so my question pertains to the ABS part of this equation for the newer 99 sedan. The rear trailing arms are off of an ABS integra but the wires were cut. I think i can maybe grab enough wire to splice into. if that's the case are they just connect color to color? i would like to keep ABS if it is possible..
now from what i have read, the cx/si/lx/dx share the same prop valve but the Ex has a different one. I'm assuming all of these are non-abs, does ABS have a different prop valve as well? (i would think to just get the 99-00 si prop valve here)
I think i can keep my mc/bb combo as the si/ex both share the 7/8" correct?
the rear spindles have the abs ring on them and the sensors i believe, will the abs unit flip **** when it sees that the rear drums are no longer there? and will the front retain abs if it is not possible to connect the wiring?
thanks for any assistance...
James

Re: 99 EX sedan *ABS* rear disc swap
I'm pretty sure i would need to change the prop valve right? the ex has bigger front brakes and rear drums, therefore the balance of the braking system would need to be like the si?
I'm confused because it has ABS..does the prop valve differ between ABS and non-ABS models? I will try and connect the wires coming off the rear discs and see if it works, if it doesn't work, will it malfunction the entire ABS system?

Re: 99 EX sedan *ABS* rear disc swap
so here is a diagram of the ABS brake line system.. it clearly has a prop valve, looks like the lines from the mc run to the prop valve and then through the ABS modulator
99 EX ABS:
46210-S04-852 005 001 VALVE ASSY., PROPORTIONING
1999 GS-R Integra w/ ABS:
46210-S04-852 VALVE ASSY., PROPORTIONING
same part number????
