Default 99 ex with a ls/v swap - VA emissions fail

ill be picking up my buddies car tomorrow but have a slight problem. the car is an '99 ex with an ls/v swap with a blower. the ecu it is currently running is a obd1 p72 i believe with s300. now i know it will not pass emissions with this set up so i have aquired a oem gsr intake mani and injectors but having trouble with the right ecu. in my garage i found a spare obd2 p72 and didnt know if this would read all the sensors needed. since it is a md car and im in va i must have the emissions done before i can get tags (dumbest state ever) i did read the FAQ and still a bit confused any help wopuld be great thanks!

it will work, but you would have to find a way to mount a knock sensor.

You have to deal with emissions in VA? Are you in NOVA, or the Beach?

Hey, at least it's only NOVA/Beach that has to deal with emissions. Those of us in the more sensible central VA don't have to deal with it. Hell, even an inspection is basically "do your lights work? Are your tires there? Is your exhaust there? Here's a sticker!"

I was just up in Dulles a few hours ago picking up a customer. Shoot me a PM, if you're having a hard time inspecting the car, I might be able to help you out.

Sure you can, you just need a little chum for the tech to the order of $100 or so. How do all these California people roll around with B20 swaps, and LS/V swaps? $$$

i can get inspection written for nothing im not worried about that, but you cant trick the machine on what sensors are reading and what ones are not.
