99 ex - Driver Side Wheel Won't Spin
So today I was inspecting a sound coming from my fiances car. She drives a 1999 honda civic ex coupe d16y8 automatic transmission. It is deep pop kind of noise. It happens when the wheel is turned hard and reversing.
Another noise that is encountered is like a buzz/rattle. It's been happening for some time now and happens on left turns and only while in drive.
Today I after an oil change and new brakes on my car I decided to look into the noises on her car. I jacked the car and then put the car into drive.
At first both tires were spinning, then I cocked the wheel to the left to try and replicate the scenario to see if the sound would happen and the wheel stopped spinning.
The attached video is of the car jacked up & in drive.
Little history. Lower ball joint broke a little over a month ago. I replaced lower ball joints, inner/outer tie rods, passenger cv, upper control/ball joints, brakes in the past month.
Thanks for any help.

Re: 99 ex - Driver Side Wheel Won't Spin
Running the car with the wheels off the ground doesn't prove much. Since it has a conventional (not limited slip) differential, the slightest drag on one wheel will make that wheel stop and the other one do all the turning.
The noise is probably a bushing. Having the ball joint fall apart shows there is a lot of wear on the whole suspension.

Ahh okay, that makes sense. Thanks for clearing up the wheels not spinning. The ball joint falling apart is due to the stripped nut on it. When replacing, the castle nut was missing & the threads where destroyed.
