99 EX crazy problems??
my 99 ex has a few problems that i cant seem to figure out. the first one is the a/c. it works and blows cold but it starts turning off by itself. like right now i had it on it was on idle and i was inside and had it on high. all the sudden it started cutting off like if it had a short or something. it turns off then on off then on very rapidly then it will start working fine and then again it will do it..any ideas?

Re: 99 EX crazy problems??
i would do what ron said. I got to thinkin about it and thats what the compressor will do when its getting low on coolant. The pressure switch is seeing that there is coolant and sometimes is just a little to low to trip the switch. get you a can of freeon and start filling. Making sure that the compressor is kicking on. You can do this by looking at the very front on the comp. It is where the clutch is. If the belt is spinning and the cluch is not then there isnt enough freeon in there to kick it on. You will have to jump the wire that kicks the compressor on by running 12v to it untill you have filled it with enough freeon to make it stay on itself.

if it's the a/c, sounds like a shotty connection somewhere, the thermal protector wire on the compressor should be looked at. if it's the fan, perhaps the blower motor resistor, or motor itself?

Do you mean the a/c is turning off and on? or the air coming out of the vents?

no everything. ok like you know how when the ac is on you see the little yellow and green lights on the climate controlwell they start turning on and off along with the actual air coming out of the vents. sort of like if i kept turning the car on and off.
