99 EM1 Si Questions
So,
I'm looking to but this 1999 Si Coupe. It was stolen in 07 and the B16A2 was taken. The guy got the car back and put a D16Y8 in it.
My question is, how hard would it be to put a b16 back in it?
What am I going to need?
Make me a list please.
I'm not really familiar with the b series but for some reason I have an obsession with the B16.
So any help is much appreciated!
Thanks

A molested em1... I'd pass IMO.
You could put the original motor back in but your gonna have to buy axles, tranny, ecu etc all over again... Plus it won't take away the dirty title.
Edit: make you list? LOL

Re: 99 EM1 Si Questions
Obsessed with the B16A?!?!?!?
Its like being obsessed with the majesty of the sand flea.
Swapping in a B series is easy, but you'll need a full swap. Good working, original motor EM1's are available for $5k or so.
You can buy one that works and marvel at its abysmal performance.
FYI...I'm the #1 EM1 lover.

How hard would it be? That depends on how much effort you put in. Judging by your post, it's going to be very difficult. Good luck!
